Surgical-site infections (SSIs) represent a significant complication associated with various vascular procedures. While these infections are often preventable through appropriate precautions, implementing such measures can lead to increased costs and time investments, raising concerns about their necessity for all patients. Our study conducts a thorough analysis of existing literature alongside a review of recent patient data, ultimately leading to the development of a novel algorithm designed to identify patients at the highest risk for SSIs. In tandem with this algorithm, we have created a mobile application that enables surgeons to quickly assess an individual patient's risk of postoperative infection.
